Who is Rich Abbott?
Leslie Richard Abbott was born in Tisdale Saskatchewan to John & Vera Abbott. His parents separated early on in life and so Rich was raised by Vera Abbott (Nee Ross) and also raised in foster homes from the age of 11 to 16 years old when he moved out on his own.
For some reason his mother called all the children by their send last name. So Rich was called Richard until high school whereby it became Leslie and later shortened to Les. However, not long-ago Les decided to return to using ‘Rich Abbott’ as his name in the online world, in keeping with his desire to be rich.
It is true that most entrepreneurial desires or skills were beat out of him early in life as a young boy and being very fearful of adults provided the atmosphere in which getting a job was the normal and right thing to do. It was repeated hundreds of times that we should be thankful we had something to eat. Having starved many times for three days in succession as a child certainly drilled that concept into his mind. Be content. Be content. Be content.
In fact, Rich Abbott tried a few times to get involved in business but was always beaten down and he submitted to govt authority or someone’s abuse just to keep the peace. He also lost money on some not so smart business ideas such as MLM opportunities that later disappeared.
In order to survive as a young adult with very low self-esteem, Rich Abbott took on jobs such as washing dishes, delivering pizza, short order cook, janitorial and later became a truck driver by the age of 18. He took his first summer job way up in Northern Saskatchewan 200 miles north of La Ronge hauling gravel. Later he upgraded his license to class 1 to drive semi-trucks in British Columbia in 1980 during poor economic conditions.
He remained on the west coast until 1988 but struggled to find work so he returned to Saskatchewan in the spring of 1988 and one year later in 1989 attended Full Gospel Bible Institute in Eston, Saskatchewan where he later graduated in 1993 with a Pastoral Major in Biblical Studies.
This time period in college was great for his self-esteem and personal growth. It was in fact a great motivating time period in his life when he realized for the first time that he could do anything he wanted if he set his mind to it. Nothing was impossible.
Much of his employment was also previously hindered by constant knee trouble but a fine surgeon operated on his right knee in 1992 (11th knee surgery and last one) and Rich Abbott was now able to run if needed and climb ladders.
Upon graduating from his first college Rich Abbott immediately attended Briercrest College in Caronport, Sk. to fulfill his desire to get a Bachelor’s degree with the goal of possibly getting his master’s later on after a few years of practical experience.
He found much personal success as a Senior pastor in three Churches but due to some politics decided to leave pastoral ministry in February 2005 and went back driving truck throughout USA and Canada.
In September 2005 Rich Abbott attended Louis Riel in Winnipeg and took a basic web design course and throughout the years has always pursued online activities as an affiliate marketer while still driving truck.
His basic weakness as an online marketer was getting into too many things and losing his focus. Lack of good Wi-Fi on the road at Truck Stops was also a constant hinderance.
Rich Abbott built two log homes mostly himself from 2000-2021 and built up his own personal equity by being his own contractor and selling the homes later at fair market value.
In 2020 Rich Abbott became very interested in cryptocurrencies. As an investor his knowledge grew concerning these subjects and while he incurred some losses, he gained much more insight that he enjoys sharing with others.
From August 1 2021 – July 2022 He and his wife travelled for a full year in a 32-foot RV bus and also purchased lake front property in Manitoba where they are currently living.

Rich Abbott’s primary focus is investments, affiliate marketing, and providing lead generation tools to other marketers.
Through much personal hardship and endurance Rich Abbott has learned the benefits of positive thinking and having a millionaire mindset.
Although Rich Abbott had previously made a vow of poverty to fulfill pastoral ministry goals, he now recognizes that this was a mistake on his part.
During his career as a pastor and a truck driver there was no retirement plan or savings plan and usually dental was the last thing on the agenda. With no financial future to look forward to, Rich Abbott began to seriously think about storing up wealth.
One day Rich Abbott had a realization that while his motto was ‘I won’ when building and overcoming various obstacles, but he never translated that thought pattern into creating wealth.
As an ordained minister armed with a theology degree he never personally looked into wealth because it was common to hear such things as ‘Money is the root of all evil’ and similar teachings.
However, he began to notice that the Bible talked a lot about wealth and somehow the majority of the Church spiritualized lacking resources, or learning to be content with little. In fact, it seemed to be holier to focus on spiritual things than earthly riches.
While there is some merit to that thinking Rich Abbott now believes that many people simply lack wealth and a better lifestyle because they have simply chosen to lower their standards.
Rich Abbott later identified this mentality as a scarcity mentality. Most of his life he also depended upon others to assist his family in hard times but deep down his desire was to be rich and the giver.
What is Rich Abbott’s WHY?
Fully realizing that he could not give unless he had extra to give, he began prayerfully seeking the Lord to guide him deeper and deeper into wealth and prosperity. Do not love money but pursue wealth because it can lead to good things and do so much.
Now at the age of 62 Rich Abbott has determined that he is in a good position to be a charitable giver because one can only do so much with material things anyway. In fact, downsizing his home or traveling to see where the need is seems like so much more fun.
Now his personal desire is to continue to grow his wealth with the intent to help others get water, provide water filtration systems, and support orphanages around the world.
The needs are great and so the desire for wealth has to be much greater.
Rich Abbott has made a new ‘vow of prosperity’ for the soul purpose of helping others. He knows he can’t take it with him to his grave but he can spread it around for many years using the right Trust Accounts and proper legal channels.
